Male bettas will survive in small display cups, such as the cups seen in pet stores, for short periods of time since these unique fish have a lung system to breath air, but the small space is stressful and impossible to maintain clean water. Male bettas are territorial and solitary and need still clean water and room to swim.

The Betta Occasions Bowl is designed to allow the betta full range of movement.

The anubias plant provides regulation of oxygen and the natural driftwood releases tannins to lower PH and reduce the presence of disease in the water.

Weekly partial water changes and small daily feedings are all that is required to complete this environment and allow your betta to live a long and peaceful life.

When on vacation the betta can exist without undue stress for up to a week without feeding, but please make plans accordingly if he is left longer.
